The SEMI Framework

The SEMI Framework - Support, Encourage, Monitor and Intervene - was designed as a set of actions schools can take to help their students. It is a simple yet actionable framework that aligns with the focus of SNA Toolbox on academic, mental and social wellbeing.

Support students who need help.

Encourage students who are doing positive things.

Monitor students who have an influence over others.

Intervene on students who are having a detrimental impact on others.

With SNA Toolbox, your school can use this framework in a pinpointed and efficient way to address student learning and wellbeing issues by knowing where to specifically target your efforts.

The SEMI framework is not meant to be an exhaustive account of what schools could do to help its students. At your school you will no doubt already have systems and processes in place to help with student wellbeing. The SEMI framework augments your current student learning and wellbeing efforts.
